The scope of water supply for Hanoi Capital includes the area along Thang Long Avenue in districts: Thach That, Quoc Oai, Hoai Duc, Nam Tu Liem (from Ring 3 to Ring 4); supplying additional sources for the central area of Hanoi, Ha Dong, Son Tay town, a part of Chuong My district and additional supply to Hoa Binh province.
The Duong River surface water plant will reach 600,000 m3 / day by 2030 (the portion supplied to Hanoi is about 475,000 m3 / day), with a vision to the south of 2050, it will be 900,000 m3 / day (the portion supplied to Hanoi is about 650,000 m3 / day).
The water supply scope for Hanoi capital of Duong river surface water plant covers the eastern area (Long Bien district, Gia Lam district); a northern part (Dong Anh and Soc Son districts); additional water supply for a part of the central area; in the South (Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin, Phu Xuyen districts), additionally to the provinces of Hung Yen, Bac Ninh.
Surface water source of Red River will reach 300,000 m3 / day by 2025, 300,000 m3 / day by 2030 and 450,000 m3 / day by 2050. The water supply scope is the area west of Hanoi, including the districts of Dan Phuong and Phuc Tho; connecting and supplying water for Me Linh, Dong Anh, Bac Tu Liem, Tay Ho and Cau Giay districts.
