Binh Dinh invests over 727 billion VND in resort in Hoi Van hot spring

On November 22, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee signed a decision approving the investment policy of the project of a resort, health care and residential area in Hoi Van hot spring area (commune). The project has a total area of ​​over 17.7 hectares. Scale, invest in resort, health care, rehabilitation area with an area of ​​over 6.8 ha, including works: health care, hotel, resort tourism; synchronously and completely build the system of internal roads, infrastructure, techniques, green parks…; invest in building a residential area with an area of ​​10.9 ha, including the following works: low-rise housing area (apartment, villas) about 420 units; internal traffic system, technical infrastructure, green park.

Progress from quarter 4-2021 to quarter 4-2026. In which, in the fourth quarter of 2022, the project officially started construction and went into operation in the fourth quarter of 2026. The contractor is a joint venture between Truong Thanh Energy and Real Estate Joint Stock Company and Indochina Thang Long Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company.

The People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province assigned the People’s Committee of Phu Cat district and the provincial Department of Finance to coordinate with related parties to support investors in implementing the project to ensure progress and efficiency. After 12 months from the date of approval of the investment policy, the contractor who fails to implement or is unable to carry out the project according to the registered schedule without a valid reason will be withdrawn.

Before that, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Phi Long also signed a decision approving the investment policy, and at the same time approved the investor, Kim Thanh Lap Forestry Joint Stock Company, to carry out the project of a MDF board factory. HDF and OKAL Binh Dinh in Giao Hoi industrial cluster (Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh).

According to the investment commitment, the first phase of the project has a total capital of over 4,370 billion VND, producing over 425,000m3 of wood plank products and 180,000m3 of OKAL chipboard/year (from the first quarter of 2022 to the second quarter of 2025). It is expected that the second phase of the project will have an area of 20ha, production scale of about 425,250m3 of wood products/year.

In recent years, Binh Dinh’s wood and forest products industry has grown rapidly, becoming the largest timber export capital in the Central region. Despite the pandemic’s impact, in 2020, the export turnover of the province’s wood and forest products industry reached US$540 million, up 14% compared to 2019, accounting for 51% of the province’s total export turnover. In which, in the first nine months of 2021, Binh Dinh’s export of wood and forest products overcame difficulties to reach over US$508 million, up 30.7% over the same period in 2020.
