As one of the 50 most effective business companies in Vietnam, HDBank not only stands out with strong business results, but also actively accompanies customers, partners and the social community to overcome difficulties caused by natural disasters and epidemics.
List of 50 most effective companies in Vietnam including those taking the leading role in economic sectors, with the highest market capitalization in the stock market coming from the retail and goods sectors, finance – banking, real estate, telecommunications technology, aviation and heavy industry. In the 3 consecutive years since the IPO, return on equity (ROE) increased sharply from 15.8% at the end of 2017 to 21.6% at the end of 2019. Particularly the double growth of EPS in the period from 2015 to 2019 of HDBank reached 55%, from VND 633 / share to VND 3,675 / share and ranked in the Top of the Finance – Banking industry. Each year, HDBank continuously sets its own new records of profit before tax and maintains outstanding asset quality.
In addition, the Bank has a history of high and regular dividends in cash and stock. HDBank’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2020 has approved the plan of distributing profits of up to 65%, including 50% of dividends in shares and 15% in bonus shares. This is the highest income of the banking industry this year.
As of March 31, 2020, HDBank’s profit before tax reached VND 1,251 billion, up 13.5% compared to the same period of the first quarter of 2019. Total assets of the bank reached VND 231,774 billion. Asset quality and liquidity are guaranteed at a high level. Capital adequacy ratio (CAR) according to Basel II reached over 11.2%, among the banks with the highest CAR.
In April 2020, Moody’s announced to maintain the B1 credit rating for HDBank, reflecting the bank’s stable financial capacity, low risks and long-term development opportunities.
