At the meeting, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, said that in the period of 2021-2025, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and USAID implemented the “digital transformation enterprise support program”. The program aims to support businesses in digital transformation through transforming awareness, vision and strategy of businesses; support digitalization of business operations, management processes, technology, production. At the same time, support comprehensive digital transformation to create new products, services and models for businesses.

It is known that more than 3,000 enterprises approached the program as soon as it was announced in early December 2020. MPI together with USAID LinkSME project screened and had more than 500 small, micro to medium and large scale enterprises that have practical needs for digital transformation. The program is assessing the readiness for these businesses and implementing in-depth consultancy activities to convert digital according to the needs of each enterprise.

According to Mr. Dong, in the coming years, the Ministry of Planning and Investment will continue to cooperate with USAID LinkSME project to implement the goal of the program by 2025 that 100% of enterprises will have increased awareness of digital transformation. In which, at least 100,000 enterprises receive technical support for digital transformation, 100 businesses are supported as a typical successful digital transformation model to spread and replicate. On the other hand, set up a network of experts including at least 100 consulting organizations and individuals, providing solutions to promote digital transformation for businesses, supporting the development of digital platforms.
