Inauguration of largest wind power plant in Vietnam

2 min read

Trung Nam Renewable Energy (RE) complex includes wind farm and Trung Nam solar power farm, directly connected to the national grid system through Thap Cham 220 KV Transformer Station.

Total annual exploited output of the Trung Nam wind-solar power complex reaches 950 million KWh – 1 billion kWh of electricity per year.

Trung Nam wind power plant has the largest scale in Vietnam

The turbines of the project are powered by ENERCON (Germany), have gearless technology with the advantage of being able to operate with low wind speeds of 2 -2.5 m / s, the ability to catch wind with average speed. 7.1 m / sec, higher than stage 1 is 6.5 m / sec. This is the land turbine with the largest capacity in Vietnam today. With the selection of this advanced equipment, the criteria for the area of land occupied is reduced to only 0.14 ha / MW (compared with the prescribed land use rate of less than 0.35 ha / MW), significantly contributing in the efficient use of national resources.

Previously, Trungnam Group put into operation 2 solar power projects in Thuan Bac district, (Ninh Thuan province) and in Duyen Hai district (Tra Vinh province) with a total capacity of over 360 MW, along with wind power projects in Thuan Bac district with a total capacity of over 151.95 MW.

Trungnam Group is continuing to implement many energy projects in order to achieve the goal of bringing an additional 10 GW to the national electricity grid by 2027

In 2020, Trungnam Group will become the first private investor in Vietnam to successfully put the transformer station and 220/500 KV transmission line in combination with the 450 MW Trung Nam Thuan Nam Solar Power Plant into operation.

Trungnam Group is continuing to implement many energy projects in order to achieve the goal of bringing an additional 10 GW (gigawatts) to the national grid by 2027. Specifically, Trungnam Group is actively implementing a plan to bring 900 onshore, offshore and offshore wind pillars to projects in localities such as Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Tra Vinh, Ninh Thuan.

On this occasion, Trungnam Group sponsored the Ninh Thuan Province Teachers’ Foreign Language Proficiency Development Program to build and improve the local culture, society and education.
